| Foreign Policy, a General Statement |
Tanner: Challenge: As champions of liberty, the free world has difficulty grasping the extent of the global threat posed by the changing face of tyranny. Bent on world domination, ideologies of hate have always surfaced in history, as seen with Nazism, Communism, and now radical Islam.
Risk: Everything the free world values is at stake when death is prized over life in the rapidly expanding Salafist and Jihadist movements within Islam. As the world’s lone super-power and leader of the free world, the U.S. faces unprecedented peril with the re-emergence of Cold War foes in league with proxy regimes from Iran, Syria, and North Korea.
Remedy: Given the risks associated with nuclear proliferation, America must protect its borders and “stay the course” in defense of liberty worldwide. By sending me to Washington, we can mute the liberal “cut and run” message and enable the U.S. to speak with one voice on foreign policy.

Tanner: Pressure must be applied to the North Korean regime in order for them to abandon their emerging nuclear program. In this regard, multi-lateral negotiations hold the promise of more effective leverage, as every affected stakeholder play a role. Source: Submitted by Roy Tanner Date: 10/16/2006 |

Tanner: The genocide (against Christians) in Darfur must be stopped. Action should be taken either by members of the U.N Security Council, or a coalition of NATO forces. [Source: Submitted by Roy Tanner 10/16/2006 9:31:56 PM] Source: Submitted by Roy Tanner Date: 10/16/2006 |
